After earning his B.A. from Morningside College and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa, Dr. Davidson has practiced family dentistry in the Des Moines area for over 35 years.
Memberships include the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association (past president), the Des Moines District Dental Society (past president), and the Academy of Family Dentistry. He serves as a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Davidson has been active in the Iowa Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy (past board president) and has traveled to numerous countries on dental healthcare ministry trips. He enjoys traveling (more than 75 countries), collecting historical artifacts, singing, art, photography and jigsaw puzzles.
His professional motto of “quality dentistry, affordable service and compassionate care” has been the foundation of the practice since the very beginning.
He and his wife, Diane, an attorney who is now Clinic Administrator at Davidson Family Dentistry, have been married for over 40 years. They have three children, Dr. Philip Davidson, a high school teacher in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Michael Davidson, a dentist at Davidson Family Dentistry and Elizabeth Miller, an owner, with her husband of a publishing company in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Dr. Davidson and Diane have 4 grandchildren. Liam (2012), Natalie (2014), Alistair (2015), and Charles (2017).
Dr. Michael Davidson received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Davidson was appointed by Governor Branstad to the Iowa to the Iowa Dental Board. The Iowa Dental Board is the governing body for making rules related to dentistry and overseeing disciplinary action of dentist, dental hygienist, and dental assistants. On the board Dr. Davidson also does examination of dental students to assess competency before entering the profession.
Dr. Davidson took additional training in sedation dentistry from Oregon State University. He is chair of the Anesthesia Credentialing Committee that advises the dental board on sedation issues. Moderate sedation compliments the standard offering of nitrous oxide to his patients.
Implant dentistry has been a focus for Dr. Davidson. He has taken a number of continuing education classes as well as the longest continuing education class offered in implant dentistry. Placing as well as restoring single teeth or complete restoration of all missing teeth.
Dr. Davidson has also expanded his training to include orthodontics and sleep apnea.
Memberships include the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, and the Des Moines District Dental Society (past president) and sits on the Iowa Dental Board. Dr. Davidson is active in volunteer dentistry at the Iowa Mission of Mercy.
Dr. Michael Davidson and his wife, Dr. Beth Davidson, a Pediatrician with Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines are parents to Liam (2012), and daughter, Natalie (2014). Dr. Davidson enjoys traveling, rock climbing, skiing, reading, playing board games and is active at Lutheran Church of Hope.
At age 4, Dr. Davidson announced that he wanted to be a dentist like his father and he has not been disappointed with that decision made at an early age. Dr. Davidson especially likes the family aspect of the practice; seeing the whole family from the elderly to young children and the variety of dental needs at every age. Many patients comment that if they close their eyes, they are not sure which Dr. Davidson is treating them. Both offer the same blend of great professional care combined with wit and friendliness.
Dr. Justine Stemper received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa. Dr. Stemper’s interest in public health led her to travel to Mexico and India to work on public health projects. She received distinction in dental public health as well as awards for practice management and treatment planning. Dr. Stemper received the New Dentist of the Year award in 2017 given by the Iowa Dental Association for an outstanding dentist who has been in practice for less than 10 years.
Dr. Stemper has had additional training in clear aligner therapy.

Dr. Stemper and her husband, Matt, an engineer, welcomed their first baby, Eliza, in 2018. In addition to family time Dr. Stemper enjoys traveling, cycling, reading, watching ISU games and is a self-proclaimed water sports enthusiast, spending warmer months slaloming, swimming, and kayaking. Dr. Stemper has also competed in an Ironman competition.
Dr. Stemper’s patients rarely see her without a smile, and she particularly likes to improve her patient’s esthetics.
Dr. John Biegert received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa where he then continued his education and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. While in school, Dr. Biegert found an interest in volunteering and continues to participate in the Iowa Mission of Mercy.
Memberships include the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Biegert has completed his training for implant placement and bone grafting which is a welcome addition to his practice. He strives to stay at the forefront of implant dentistry with continued education.
Dr. Biegert and his wife, Erin, added a member to their family in early 2018. In addition to doting on their new baby, they all enjoy spending time outdoors, learning new recipes, and traveling. Dr. Biegert enjoys playing a variety of sports and likes to spend his free time playing guitar and working in his garden.
Dr. Biegert is an enthusiastic dentist and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure his patients are comfortable and satisfied.
Dr. Alyson Baier received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa.
Memberships include the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Des Moines District Dental Society.
Dr. Baier, and her husband, Andrew, who works at John Deere, enjoy outdoor activities (tennis, running, skiing) together and are active in their church. Dr. Baier completed her first marathon in the Fall of 2018.
Dr. Baier especially enjoys esthetic dentistry and is a provider of clear aligner orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Cameron Clause received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Clause is a Minnesota native growing up in a dental family; both his father and brother practice dentistry in Mankato, MN.
After practicing dentistry in Sioux Falls SD, Dr. Clause has made the move to the Des Moines area to join Davidson Family Dentistry. He enjoys all areas of dentistry and has a special interest in endodontics and oral surgery. Dr. Clause is a member of the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Association.
He has been very involved in community activities including Mission of Mercy, both in Minnesota and Iowa, Habitat for Humanity, Feed My Starving Children, and Ghosts of Christmas, an organization that delivers food and care packages to families in need during the Christmas season in Sioux Falls, SD.
Outside of practicing dentistry Dr. Clause engages in physical activities and is an avid track and field athlete. He also enjoys spending time with his family, going to the family cabin in northern Minnesota, playing golf, and visiting new places.
